Basic Corn Bread 1 1/4 cups yellow cornmeal 3/4 cup flour 1/4 cup granulated sugar 4 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup vegetable oil 2 eggs, lightly beaten 1 1/4 cups milk
Mix dry ingredients. Add remaining ingredients and stir just until mixed (will probably still be lumpy). Pour into a greased cast iron skillet and bake at 400 degrees F for 25 minutes.
