Raspberry Jam Brownies with Raspberry Jam Chocolate Frosting 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter 2 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate 1 cup granulated sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/4 teaspoon salt 2 eggs 1 cup flour 1/4 cup raspberry jam 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Frosting 2 tablespoons butter 1 cup chocolate chips 1/4 cup raspberry jam
For Brownies: Place butter and chocolate in a microwaveable bowl. Microwave on HIGH until butter and chocolate are melted, one to two minutes. Stir until smooth. Beat in sugar, vanilla extract and salt. Beat in eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in flour. Stir in jam and walnuts. Pour into a greased pan and floured 8-inch square pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 25 to 30 minutes. Remove from oven. Let stand in pan 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack. While brownies are cooling, make the frosting.
For Frosting: Melt butter and chocolate chips together. Stir until smooth. Stir in raspberry jam and frost top of brownies. When cold, cut into one-inch squares.
