These are very dangerous nonmemory resident encrypted parasitic viruses. They search for .COM files in the current and parent directories, then write themselves to the end of the file. Before return control to the host program they erase disk sectors and display the message:
Inherit the Wind !!!
They also contain the strings:
Inherit the Wind
Vole Puppy
*IW* *VP*
