It is not a dangerous memory resident parasitic virus. It hooks INT 1Ch, 21h and writes itself to the end of .COM-files (except COMMAND.COM) that are executed or opened. Some time after installation the virus manifests itself with video effect: it launches the point symbol that is running at the top line of the screen from left to right, then the virus changes the font of point symbol to an image of a gas-mask, then the virus displays the message:
XCAT version 3.0 (Rage against THE Fish).
