SuperBar boasts a number of helpful additions to your computer such as filling in forms, remembering passwords and 'search enhancement'. Apparently search enhancement means that additional listings will appear disguised to look like actual results from search engines. It is usually downloaded when bundled with file sharing programs distributed by Blue Haven Media. It can also make its way onto your computer through ActiveX drive by downloading or through direct download off the company site. In order to use some of the features such ast the Movie feature, you need to enter a zip code. It uses thsi for advertisement profiling. SuperBar variants include: SuperBar.GC is an IE Browser Helper Object. Adds links to the results of other search engines, dressed up to look as if they come from the search engine itself; in fact they are from the site greasycow.com. SuperBar.Rnd adds a process that starts up and runs with Windows, and uses pseudo-random class IDs to try to avoid detection. Opens a full-screen pop-up window containing paid links from findwhat.com each time a search engine is used.
