PurityScan preys on users desire to keep their machines clean of undesired files, offering Free pornography searches on a users machine. Which turns into a rather weak filename search for 'porn words'. i.e. AssetManagement.doc would be located as Porn due to the first three letters in the filename.

PurityScan istalls additional spyware including SaveNow, WhenUSeach Toolbar, ClockSync, and WeatherCast.

PurityScan.wtsc, also called PuritySweep, is distributed by Clickspring LLC and bundled with programs such as Grokster. PurityScan.wtsc starts automatically after reboot and spawns pop-up windows. PurityScan.wtsc has an automatic update feature and may install third party products. PurityScan.wtsc drops its file in System directory.
