Description:	BargainBuddy is a Browser Helper Object that watches the pages your browser requests and the terms you enter into a search engine web form. If a term matches a preset list of sites or keywords, BargainBuddy will display an ad. A process that is invoked at machine startup will check a remote server for updates to the software and ads that will be displayed. Bargain Buddy consists of an IE Browser Helper Object, and a process set to run at startup. The BHO monitors web pages requested and terms entered into forms. If there is a match with a preset list of sites and keywords, an advertisement may be shown. The process can contact its maker's server to download updates to the list of adverts and to the software itself. BargainBuddy will load whenever Internet Explorer starts, shares its memory and performs actions in any available windows. It can also detect events, create windows to display additional information on a viewed page, monitor messages and actions. There are many exploits of this technology which search all pages you view in IE and replace banner advertisements with other ads, monitor and report on your actions, etc. To display an advertisement to a user the Bargain Buddy program matches the keywords entered with an advertiser. DoubleClick can track the site that is visited and the keywords that are entered with cookies. Further, there is no privacy policy on the Exact Advertising site, explaining the further use and/or distribution of the information that they collect. "Privacy By downloading Bargain Buddy you give permission to eXact Advertising LLC to display relevant contextual information and offers. In order to provide Bargain Buddy users with such information, Bargain Buddy delivers content based on the URL visited by the user and/or search terms entered by the user into a search engine and/or content on the web page being viewed by the user. Bargain Buddy does NOT assemble personally identifiable profiles of Bargain Buddy users and personally identifiable information is not required in order to use the Bargain Buddy software. eXact Advertising LLC may update it's privacy policy and license agreement for Bargain Buddy at any time at the discretion of the company."
